They say "one never can have too many friends..."

Mission

The Friends of the Millis Library is an independent organization that promotes the Library within the community by funding programs and services that would not be possible within the constraints of the Library budget.

How the Friends support MPL year round….

Numerous Museum Passes     On-Line Pass Reservation Software

Adult Programs    Children’s Summer Reading Programs    Children’s Furniture

Book Bags for Doorstep Delivery to the Homebound Patron Program, and much, much more.

Why do Millis community members join the Friends of the MPL?  For all different reasons, of course! Here are a few:

"I love our library and try to support it in any way that I can”

"With the limited budget, our Library could use the help”

"Spending time with others who enjoy reading as much as I do – is really a value added reason to volunteer”

"Giving back to my community I think is a must in today’s world and I’ve chosen the library to share my talents”

Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 7p.m., at the Library, unless otherwise noted.

Your attendance is greatly appreciated, but not a requirement of Membership.

Educational and entertaining programs are planned from September – June, which are free and open to the public.  Book Sale fundraisers (May and October) are held annually- book donations are always accepted and can be dropped off during Library business hours.

MAKE A MEMORY ...AND A LASTING IMPRESSION AT THE MILLIS PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Make a Memory Donation Forms are available at the Library, and will shortly be available for printing from the Library’s website.  You can fill out the form and mail it or simply take it to the Library, and the Friends will do the rest!

You may opt to select an author, subject or genre and identify the audience.  Library staff will then choose an appropriate title which corresponds to the Library’s collection development needs.
All donations benefit the Friends of the Millis Public Library and all items added to the Library’s collections are subject to the terms of the Millis Library’s Collection Development Policy.
Funds raised by the Friends of the Library are used to support library programs, including museum passes, visiting authors, booktalks, and children’s programs.

All donations are tax deductible.   Your gift will be acknowledged, and a special commemorative bookplate will be affixed to the book—leaving a lasting impression and a wonderful memory for years to come.
