Food for Fines at the Millis Library - December 2008
Millis Public Library patrons can pay off their library fines in food during the month of December.
 
The library will forgive fines for those who bring in non-perishable food items for the Millis Food Pantry. The library will also accept personal care items such as toothpaste, shampoo, and soap.
Please, only items that have not exceeded their shelf expiration dates!

Library attendance up 24% in first 4 months of FY09
 
Attendance at the Millis Library (the number of people who come into the Library) is up 24% in the first 4 months of this fiscal year over the same period last year (July - October).

Have you read a good book lately?  Want to share it with others?  Why not leave a "recorded book review" on the Library's web site!  Come in to the LIbrary for a simple instruction sheet with guidelines for using this new online feature.  Your recorded message will be delivered to Library staff, and once we have approved your review, it will appear on the Library's website.  So --- start reading, and start reviewing!

The Town of Millis Board of Health has established a notebook for food alerts, recalls, and public heath advisoires that is now available at the Library.  The Board of Health updates this information frequently.
