The Millis Public Library is pleased to offer Notary services by appointment. See important details below.
A Notary Public is a state-appointed individual capable of being an official, impartial witness performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents.
If you require the services of a Notary, you must be physically present with your document. You must also bring a form of government-issued identification that is not expired.
The document must be signed in front of the Notary. The Notary cannot witness your document if it is not signed in front of the Notary.
If you do NOT have identification, you may bring a Credible Witness known to the Notary who will vouch for you. If the Credible Witness is not known to the Notary, you require two Witnesses, and each must provide a form of proper identification. Credible witnesses cannot have a financial stake in the document you want notarized.
